TWLOHA-University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Welcome to the TWLOHA-UNCC Chapter! Com join us on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm in CHHS 159.

TWLOHA Mission Statement: To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

In 2009, we launched the University Chapters program. UChapters is a network of student organizations on college and university campuses that exists to embody the mission and vision of To Write Love on Her Arms. Through organized meetings and events, each chapter serves as a voice of hope, inspiration, and support for students and their surrounding communities.
I'm going to be starting at UNCC this fall as a freshman, and I am now really excited that there is a TWLOHA chapter on campus. I've seen my sister go through issues with depression and self harm, and am still helping my girlfriend to deal with them. I am so happy there is a way I can share my experiences, and help others with their own problems :)

Your story is incredibly significant. No matter where you’ve come from or where you go, you will always matter.

“I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.” - Billy Joel
